Am I Doomed?

My diet isn't going so well. I did so good for about a week and a half and then the cravings set in. Today I started out counting my points and feeling good about a new start then I got home and attacked the snacks. Am I just not meant to be thin?

It Kills! (Napoleon Style)

Today was a bum day.

Went to the Dentist with a killer tooth ache.

Left the dentist with a killer tooth ache.

Apparently it's too infected to work on and I need to be on antibiotics to take care of the infection first before he can do anything. So I went to Walmart to fill my prescription seeing as they are usually cheaper. Struck out again. They wanted $29 for the antibiotics in generic form. Sooo.... I drove to Kaiser, used my insurance (thank God for insurance) and paid $10. Can't complain about saving $19.

So I have taken 2 doses of the antibiotics thus far and they leave this really weird taste in my mouth. Almost like when you have left Tylenol or something in your mouth too long before swallowing them down. Blah it's nasty and won't go away. The good news though... yep there's good news... is that my tooth doesn't hurt quite so much anymore. There is still a subtle pain (almost a tenderness) to it; but that is so much better than the throbbing pain before.

*I wanna give props to my hubby on this one. Whenever I'm not feeling well he always says and does the right things. He's so sweet to me and takes care of me very well. I love you babe!*

I Don't Want to be the Fat Bride's Maid!

Retro back to August 8th: I got a text message from my best friend and she's engaged! Yay! After 5 years of dating she finally got the ring! Congrats Nicole, I love ya! She has been waiting for this since I can remember... high school maybe? I am ecstatic for her!

So... shortly after, she asked me to be a Bride's Maid... and of course I said yes. :) Now this brings me to a bit of a dilemma...

I DON'T WANT TO BE THE FAT BRIDE'S MAID!!!

So now I am on a journey to lose weight.

I initially started out eating healthier foods in smaller-ish proportions. Then my Mom talked me into doing the Weight Watchers points system. So I jumped on the band wagon... printed out a bunch of crap about points for foods and even bought myself the points calculator on eBay. So far a good start. :)

Over the past week I have been doing okay... minus 3 yummy mini-tacos and rice from the taco shop last night. Totally worth it by the way. Today I did good as well, didn't go over my points, all is....er... was... good. I just had 4 cookies. 4 yummy delicious chocolate chunk cookies. Mmmm....

Damn it.

But, tomorrow is a new day. I did go walking with my son today, so exercise is good. I also ate a lot of veggies today. I'm feeling better in my clothes and less bloated feeling, so that has to stand for something right?

Oh yeah, and a major accomplishment for me.... no soda. Haven't had it in over a week now.

So wish me luck... and loss... of weight that is.
